Brother Knights,
It's a few weeks away, but we wanted to send out a message reminding Knights to try and organize a Traditional Latin Mass on Columbus Day Tuesday October 12, as requested by Pope Leo XIII in his 1892 encyclical, Quarto Abeunte Saeculo, which commemorated the 400th anniversary of Columbus discovery of America.
A votive Mass of the Holy Trinity was recommended to give thanks to God for Columbus bringing the Catholic faith to the New World.

Brother Knights,
As you may have read, Cardinal Burke is quite ill from COVID and pneumonia and is need of prayers. According to several outlets, his condition is deteriorating and is in need of much prayers over the next 48 hours.

Cardinal Burke has been a steadfast supporter of the Knights and the Traditional Latin Mass over the years. Please consider including him in your Rosary intentions today and tomorrow and pray for healing, if God wills it. Also you may consider praying the prayer to Blessed McGivney, who himself suffered and died from pneumonia in the month of August (see below).

God, our Father, protector of the poor and defender of the widow and orphan, you called your priest, Blessed Michael McGivney, to be an apostle of Christian family life and to lead the young to the generous service of their neighbor.
Through the example of his life and virtue, may we follow your Son, Jesus Christ, more closely, fulfilling his commandment of charity and building up his Body which is the Church. Let the inspiration of your servant prompt us to greater confidence in your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the needy and the outcast.
We humbly ask that you glorify Blessed Michael McGivney on earth according to the design of your holy will. Through his intercession, grant the favor I now present (here make your request).Through Christ our Lord. Amen
Intention: Healing of Cardinal Burke, if God wills it.

Brother Knights,
Blessed Feast of the Assumption! Today also marks an important day for the Traditional Latin Mass in our country. It is the release date of the groundbreaking documentary on the Traditional Latin Mass, the Mass of Ages. It is designed to help reach those not currently attending the Traditional Latin Mass.
The documentary, which our Network supported from its inception nearly 2 years ago will premiere, tonight Sunday August 15 at 8pm Eastern. To watch you can view the documentary's Youtube Page:

Brother Knights -
Today, Friday August 13, is the first feast day of Knights founder, Blessed Michael McGivney, who was beatified last fall.
His feast day falls between Blessed McGivney's date of birth, August 13, 1852, and his date of death, August 14, 1890.
We encourage Knights to try and attend a Traditional Latin Mass today. Although he is not on the 1962 calendar, August 13 is a ferial day and a votive Mass for Any Necessity can be offered for Blessed McGivney's canonization.
To learn more about Blessed McGivney, the Knights of Columbus has set up a resource page:

Additionally, please see our own page about Blessed McGivney:

Brother Knights,
Please join us for our annual novena for Blessed Michael McGivney’s canonization, the founder of the Knights of Columbus. The novena begins today August 4 and it concludes Thursday August 12, the day prior to his new feast day of August 13th.
Our suggested intention is for the protection of the Traditional Latin Mass, the Mass of Bl. McGivney.
Additionally, in the most recent edition of Columbia,
the Supreme Chaplain encourage Knights to attend Mass on that day (even
if his feast is not celebrated at Mass). We would add to that and
encourage members of our network to try and attend a Traditional Latin Mass on
that day.
Novena prayer is below.
